Prosigns
Prosigns are symbols which are created from two text characters, and are used as an abbreviation / signal.
WinMorse can handle prosigns by assigning a single text character to the dots and dashes of the prosign, in a Code-Map.
To use a prosign, simply put the text character at the location in the text where you would like the prosign to be.
The Default Code-Map has the following prosigns:
Prosign |
Text Character |
Morse Code |
Description |
AR |
+ |
.-.-. |
End of Message |
BT |
= |
-...- |
Pause |
KA |
~ |
-.-.- |
Beginning of Message |
KN |

-.--. |
Over to You |
SK |
@ |
...-.- |
End of Communication |
Any prosign, listed here or not, may be used by WinMorse by using the Code-Map Editor and assigning the prosign's Morse Code to an unused text character.
